PoE is Power over Ethernet, where the power sourcing equipment (PSE) supplies power to the powered device (PD) terminal equipment through the Ethernet cable.

The PD side receives power and control from the PSE side through the Ethernet cable, allowing its terminal equipment to operate.

The biggest difference between the Ethernet power supply system and the current general power supply systems is the Ethernet power supply system can be configured from the main equipment of PSE, only needs to use an Ethernet cable to transmit "power supply" and "network, signal and other data" to the terminal equipment (PD).
